What you'll be doing...

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising departmental activities, including oversight of Supervisors and Staff Assistants. This position plays a critical role in directing, supporting, and developing personnel, enforcing procedures, and ensuring operational efficiency. The Assistant Manager also assists the Senior Manager with departmental oversight, implementation of policies, and coordination of special projects.

  • Oversee department operations for accuracy, timeliness, and policy compliance.
  • Support staff development through leadership and mentoring.
  • Review contracts and resolve related issues with unions and employers.
  • Analyze data to track performance and guide decisions.
  • Collaborate on system improvements, coordinate software updates, and maintain accurate departmental procedures and documentation.

Who you are...

  • Experienced. Minimum of 2 years prior supervisor or management experience
  • Organized. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Communicator. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication
  • Detailed. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Technically Savvy. Intermediate skills in all Microsoft Office Suite

  • Salary range of $7,289 - $9,861 per month (pay dependent on experience & qualifications)
