Investigate financial records to detect fraud, embezzlement, or financial misconduct, and provide expert analysis and testimony for legal proceedings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Detect and quantify financial fraud
- Prepare expert reports for litigation
- Provide clear expert witness testimony
- Identify hidden assets and transactions
- Ensure compliance with legal standards
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential
- Experience with litigation support and expert testimony
- 7-10 years of experience
- Financial statement analysis
- Fraud detection techniques
- Data analytics / ACL / IDEA
- eDiscovery tools
- Accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Excel advanced modeling
- Legal document review
- Attention to detail
- Analytical thinking
- Communication and report writing
