Power BI Engineer - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

Job Description

Tieto Tech Consulting (MentorMate from 2001 to 2026) provides design-led, data-centric, and AI-powered digital engineering & consulting services to enterprises worldwide.   

We are looking for a Power BI Developer to join a global leader in material handling solutions, supporting a mature Power BI reporting environment used across multiple business functions and countries. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver reporting solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making. You will contribute to the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring they meet evolving business needs and provide actionable insights. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions 

• Bridge the gap between business users and technical teams 

• Analyze business processes and define KPIs, metrics, and reporting structures 

• Develop and enhance dashboards and reports to support business needs 

• Participate in backlog refinement, prioritization, and requirements discussions 

• Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and reporting best practices 

• Contribute to data modeling and promote data-driven decision making across the organization 

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard and report development  

• Solid knowledge of data modeling, DAX, and Power Query  

• SQL and data analysis experience 

• Good understanding of business processes, KPIs, and reporting requirements  

• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements  

• Ability to translate business needs into effective and actionable reporting solutions  

• Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills across business and technical teams 

• Excellent spoken and written English language skills 

A significant advantage would be 

• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering or banking domains 

• Knowledge of ERP systems and enterprise data sources (SAP or similar) 

• Understanding of data visualization and reporting best practices 

• Experience in Power BI / Fabric platform configuration and administration 

• Azure data services (Fabric, Databricks, ADF) 

• Experience migrating legacy BI reports 

• Experience working in Agile delivery teams
