Job Description

The Paint Prepper plays a critical role in the refinishing process by preparing vehicles and parts for paint application while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for paint by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming repaired areas.
• Remove and reinstall trim, moldings, lights, and other components as needed for refinishing.
• Mix and apply primers and sealers according to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including paint booths and preparation stations.
• Inspect vehicle surfaces for imperfections and ensure readiness before paint application.
• Follow all safety procedures and proper handling of paint materials and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with painters, body technicians, and production staff to meet repair deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive paint prep or collision repair experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and surface preparation techniques.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening

Additional Information

Compensation:

• $21.00 to 24.00 per flat rate hour

Schedule (optional):

• Full Time
• Monday through Friday availability
• Saturday/Sundays off
